Meet Anna
Anna is a lifelong performer with a BFA in Performance Theater from Hofstra University. Their movement journey started in theater and dance before expanding into martial arts and fitness, training in Shaolin Kung Fu in China, Muay Thai in Thailand, and dance at Broadway Dance Center in NYC. They've spent years teaching kickboxing and movement based fitness throughout New York and Maryland, and currently lead a recurring kickboxing class at Merritt Clubs Downtown on Monday nights. Outside of fitness, Anna manages Archer Hawkins Gallery, a new art space in Baltimore.
As a certified BodyART® instructor, Anna brings a mindful, intentional approach to movement, drawing on biomechanics, breath, strength, balance, and mobility to create a practice that challenges the body while deepening its connection to the mind.
What is BodyART?
BodyART is a physical therapy based training method built to prevent injury, reduce pain, and promote long term sustainability in the body. It draws from both Western PT and Eastern philosophy (Traditional Chinese Medicine), centering breath and balance as core tools for movement. Designed to deepen the mind-body connection through biomechanics, this low-impact workout still delivers real intensity. Come ready to move with intention, and leave feeling more connected to your body than when you arrived.
